I'm amazed at the level of technical research that must have gone on to write this book. If I didn't know Steve as "just one of the guys" of our local motorcycle club, I'd swear I was reading something from the likes of Michael Crichton or Tom Clancy, authors with big budgets and likely lots of staff doing background research for them.The timing of the release of this book could not be better, with North Korea being in the news lately about its alleged hack on Sony. This book is about NK's planned use of a more coercive hack -- the detonation of nuclear devices over Japan and China, rendering all communications, financial, and navigation systems inoperable via the resultant EMPs, allowing NK to strike an attack so that all of Korea may once again "live under one glorious flag".
I really enjoyed this book, and have no reservations about recommending it to others. At the price it's available at for the Kindle, it's a bargain.

Great book by Steve Abbott. Really enjoyed the story, full of action and suspense. Highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy war stories.
Lots of techie stuff that may or may not be correct. Lots of improbable action. Character development is really weak and n stereotyped but not believable
Entertaining and frightfully realistic. Drags at times. When the action does kick in the reader can't stop turning the pages. I'm looking for Abbott's other books.
Geopolitical technothriller - how's that for a mouthful? But Abbott's book is certainly that. He knows his political games and he knows the machinery of war. Takes you on a ride-along with all the good guys, bad guys, and mere functional players that would be involved in a North Korean nuclear nightmare. Fascinating.
This was an action novel about a subject that most people feel could truly happen. Three nuclear devices stolen from an armory in a country without proper security measures in place, and shipped to a country willing to use them. The plot was well thought as well was the ending, All in all a good read.
Not surprising that canned questions gives for you to rate a book are rather thin and seem designed for simple novels.
This was anything but simple. It was simply ..........wonderfu. If you like Bond, Clancy and others like them you will really like this plot and pace of the story. Great Characters.
The story is slow read for the first half of the book. It also seems a bit disjointed in this section, with the plot jumping to various places in the world without much connection. Action scenes are passed over with little detail, and have an almost scripted outcome. Things pick up considerably in the last half, with well done and detailed battle scenarios, both under the sea and on land. A major disturbing feature of the book was a number of technical errors, wrong or misspelled words and quite a few typos.
