Excellent. I loved the story. Really like Jared and Colin. Look forward to the next installment so I hope it's here soon hint hint lol. Only reason I didn't give full 5 starts was that there was just a tad too much drama for me. But good ready and with a HEA.Product details

A couple of seconds was all it took for attorney Jared Williams to lose sight of his nephew. In that moment he turned his back, Caleb was off chasing after a ball that had gotten away from him. Jared did all he could to catch up to his nephew while shouting out; hopefully catch someone’s attention since he was not gaining any ground. Just moments before Caleb was almost hit by a Hummer, a hero appeared and pushed him out-of-the-way.
Nurse and soon to be hero, Colin Ryland, was about to get in his car when he heard someone shout in distress. Instincts kicking in, he took off after a little blonde boy chasing a ball oblivious to his surroundings. Colin was able to get the boy out-of-the-way of the oncoming vehicle; unfortunately, he was not so lucky. This however, is where Colin and Jared's story begins; as unconventional as it may be. Together they work though Colin's recovery, their doubts and a few crazy people. Even through all of this, they do eventually get their HEA )
I was hooked from the start. I mean, all that drama right at the beginning of the book...heck yeah! Then something unfortunate started to happen. The story started to lose its pull on me. Even with the MC’s relationship developing quickly, I didn’t really feel the chemistry between them. Then there is the 'main' outside force that ends up shaking things up between the Jared and Colin. IMO, it really comes out of nowhere (somewhat of a brief mention earlier on in story). Maybe if there would have been more story into their jobs, then maybe it would have not felt so thrown in there. The book’s overall flow was good; however, the bulk of story was about the accident and the relationship between them; barely bring up their day-to-day lives. This book does not end on a cliffhanger, although it does set up the second book in the series quite well. I am looking forward to Noah's and Maverick's story. Let me just say I am very intrigued by their past.

WOW!!!!! Now this.....THIS is what I'm looking for when I'm in the MM Romance mood!!! I'm so happy I had the chance to read this....just....wonderful from beginning to end.
We become mesmerized from the very beginning. When an accident lands Colin in the hospital for his heroic act, the last thing he expected was to wake up to find a stranger in his hospital room, taking care of him as though they'd been friends for years. But that's exactly what happens. The stranger, Jared, feels a little "obligated" to make sure that Colin is well taken care of. After all, he DID save his nephews life by sacrificing his own (don't worry, I didn't ruin anything, it happens in the first chapter...lol). But Jared didn't think he'd actually start to have feelings for the guy. Especially considering the circumstances. But hey, when you feel, you feel.
The pace throughout this book is beyond believable. It's not just lust between these two guys, there is definitely something real there and the way in which they explore their feelings for each other is beautiful. Ok, maybe not the circumstance, but you'll understand what I mean when you read this. I'm not going to give away the element of danger because you'll figure that out sooner than later too, but it absolutely plays a role in how fast these two fall for each other.
So there's lust, love, danger and of course a twist. Did I already mention how much I enjoyed this? No really, it's pretty much perfect. So much so that even though I don't typically read MM's, I'll be hounding my blogger to get the next installment. I HAVE to find out about the next "couple". And NO, I'm not giving THAT away either.

3.5 stars rounded up, because it was quite readable. This was a good, solidily written romance story. There was an unusual way to meet, a fairly slow development of the relationship and some lack of communication that didn't end up overblown. It wasn't exactly scintillating or passionate though. There were quite a number of secondary characters, family and friends that were fairly well drawn and were also frquently part of the storyline. Jared and Colin were fairly well characterized but honestly, they were both almost too nice. Even their personality flaws, with Colin too stubborn and Jared a little too protective, caused no real conflict. What there was, was easily and quickly resolved. It's not necessarily bad but it made them rather bland.
There was some action and danger throughout the story, with a possible stalker or two. It was the only plot device that livened up the story. However it kind of became too many people getting hurt and injured, almost repetitive. The author did throw in a bit of misdirection for the antagonist but it only fed into the small moments of conflict for the MC's and helped setup a sequel. Sex scenes were meh, but they weren't filler and there were few. It still kept me interested and wanting to see what happpened. I don't rate based on editing errors, unless they're truly excessive. There were a number of them here, including a Dan that turned into a Steve, but he was just a bit player. The author does need to use a few additional contractions as well.
